Play Lab Session 3: Secret Agents (Grades 3-4)

Agents, don't blow your cover - there's too much at stake on this mission! Dive into the realm of collaborative storytelling, thinking up an entirely original show from scratch, inventing gadgets and evading capture to thwart the agents of chaos who want to destroy the world. Together, we'll use improv to generate ideas and discover one-of-a-kind characters, weaving the best of what we've made into our brand-new play.
There will be no class March 27th, and April 3rd due to Aspen Public School Holidays
Spring Break Drama Club: Ready for Launch

Get ready to take off on an intergalactic exploration with Theatre Aspen's Spring Break Drama Club! We'll create stories that are out of this world through drama games, music, dance, and design. Whether you're creating your own alien character or dancing your way through the Milky Way, students will use creative collaboration skills as we travel across the galaxy.
WHEN: 9 AM to 3 PM, March 27-31st
WHO: Open to all students in Kindergarten through 4th grade
Story Adventures - Session 5 (K-2)

Make the leap from page to stage! In our Elementary Story Adventures classes, students will deepen their appreciation for the arts through the exploration of new and classic children’s literature. Artistic expression, performing confidence, peer collaboration (and silly storytelling) will all be in the spotlight for this fun-filled 6-week session.
Wednesdays 3:30-4:45pm (NEW DATE SET)
This class is for current Kindergarten through Second Grade students only.
Students can take the bus directly from Aspen Elementary School or ACDS to the Yellow Brick building and be picked up by our Teaching Artist at the bus stop and walked over to the Red Brick for class.
BASALT 2022 2nd-4th Story Adventures

Come learn and grow with this FREE Theatre Aspen class! In our Elementary Story Adventure classes, students will deepen their appreciation for the arts through the exploration of new and classic children’s literature. Musical Theatre Dance: Performance (7th-12th)

Bring together every element of musical theatre dance you know in this performance focused class. We’ll build our skills through daily technique training, putting our progress to use in a fully staged and choreographed performance of “Live In Living Color” from Catch Me If You Can. No stone will be left unturned - technique, performance, and storytelling will all be in the spotlight when we take the stage for friends and family with our number on the final day of class.
Playwriting: Hero's Journey (5th-8th Grade)

Ignite your creativity and imagination as we put pen to paper in this all new playwriting class. We'll learn the fundamentals of playwriting, such as structure, plot, character development, and dialogue, and explore how these fundamentals can create iconic heroes and epic journeys.

Devising | Playwriting | Design | Rehearsal
Tune in this week for brand new, out of this world ideas coming to you live from Theatre Aspen Network! Collaborate with your director and fellow campers to create an original play FROM SCRATCH based on old and new cartoons! With characters, plot twists, and surprise endings to invent, campers will become actors, playwrights, directors, and designers all at once to pull off an incredible cartoon-themed show.
K-2 Programs #1: Game Changers

Creative Drama | Drama Games | Design | Outdoor Team Time
Game on! You and your friends will get a chance to design and venture your way through your own board game. With focus on design and character building, it's time to get your head in the game. By the end of the week you will have a brand new board game and your own character to share with your friends.
