Dive into the mind of one of Broadway's greatest composers in Putting it Together: A Sondheim Cabaret. Students will tackle the challenging works of Stephen Sondheim through a cabaret style approach to performance. They will learn to build a personal connection to songs, craft stories to weave into their performance, hone vocal technique, and learn how to approach a song as yourself, rather than as a character. Repertoire selection will be approached in a collaborative nature to help foster the student’s artistic voice. The class will culminate in a final cabaret performance for friends and families with a live accompanist.
